Clause and phrase analysis

The beginning of each clause is shown on a separate line, such as A.1:, B.2:, etc, where the initial letter (A,B, etc.) indicates the sentence within the stanza (if it was split into multiple sentences A, B, etc.).

Terms have not been grouped together into phrases on account of difficulties related to ‘free’ word order. While in most simple sentences, phrases may be a matter of grouping ‘like’ components together, major difficulties were encountered in a few sentences. Hence an attempt to group terms into phrases was deferred at this point.

The assignment of terms to clauses was checked against [MM2015] [1] wherever possible. However, [MM2015] does not consistently show the detailed clause structure after Chapter 1. Hence, we also need to figure out the clauses from the Srimad Bhagavadgita Sankarabhashya, as we have not come across any other text by an expert grammarian that shows the clause structure clearly, and with the level of detail required for checking the parser output. Hence, there will be a subjective element in the clause analysis for the time being.
