This non-conjugational transformation has seven different forms (and transformations), and is not commonly encountered in Classical Sanskrit texts. It is known as luN lakAr ( लुङ लकर ) in the Ashtadhyayi ( see [JRB1995] [1] ).
Examples:
- Aorist Variety 1 can be seen in Stanza 2.47 of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita. Note that this is an irregular form with the augment missing, and could instead be considered an Injunctive Verb.
