COMMENTS:

  • The parser treats 'kulam' and 'kRutsnam' as ACC-S terms, unlike their treatment as NOM-S terms in [KAL2015][1]. However, [MM2015] [2] treats these terms as ACC-S terms. Hence these are not defective assignments by the parser.
  • The clause A.2 can be read as 'Impiety overcomes/ overwhelms the entire family', justifying an ACC-S form for the two words marked as errors.
  • The passive past participle 'LOC-S:naSHTe:[that is] destroyed' has as its Subject 'LOC-S:dharme'. This gives us the phrase 'in dharma [that is] destroyed ...'.
  • In general, assignments to clauses of LOC terms (such as LOC-S 'dharme' and LOC-S 'naSHTe' below) and other adjuncts ('non-arguments') is problematic for the parser, as it does not have an understanding of the 'real-word' to help it in choosing between clauses A.1 and A.2. [MM2015] [2] treats these two LOC-S terms as being part of clause A.2. In this stanza, fortunately, the parser chose the correct clause.
