COMMENTS:

  • As mentioned in the Chapter Sandhi Results, due to ambiguity in the printed form, the sandhi splitter erroneously assumed the underlying term was unchanged in the printed form for the word 'rathopastha' whereas the applicable sutras were 6.1.78 and 8.3.19 resulting in the underlying term 'rathopasthe' as shown in the correction indicated above.
  • As mentioned in the Chapter Sandhi Results, the parser was able to choose the correct form when provided the alternatives 'rathopastha/rathopasthe', thereby handling the error noted above in the 'sandhi analysis' stage.
  • The parser assumes the term 'visRujya' is derived from 'sRuj:6P'. However, [KAL2015] [1] assumes the term is derived from 'sRuj:1P'. It must be noted that 'sRuj' is defined as belonging to the verb class '6P' in the [MW2011] [2] dictionary, to the verb classes 6P and 4A in [Kale1995] [3], and to the verb class 6 in [WDW2008] [4]. Hence this is not a defective assignment by the parser.
